Beach

We went to the beach the first Monday that we were there. It was a lot of fun, but that sand is awful! Not only does it just make you feel soo dirty, but it also broke my camera. My camera is waterproof, so I thought it was fine going in the water, but it is not sand proof and the shutter got stuck and broke. :( Now we have to save up $250 to buy a new one.

I was surfin' with the girls. Elizabeth liked the water as long as it didn't get her face.

Becca hated the beach! She didn't like the sand, the sun or anything!

Dianne and Danni sun bathed the whole time. Elizabeth didn't think Dianne was dirty enough so she tried to rectify that!

Disneyland

These pictures were almost lost. My mom thought that she had moved all of her pictures to the computer from her camera so she erased all the pictures. They we went to look at the Disneyland pictures and they were not there! My mom bought an "Undelete" program and it was able to restore all of the pictures. We were all so happy. There were some really cute pics!My mom was so wonderful and bought us tickets to Disneyland. It was so much fun! It was a little busy at first, but after a little while things calmed down. It cost A LOT of money, but it was worth it (since most of it didn't come from my wallet :) Christmas from my mom might be a little smaller this year.
On the bus to Disneyland! The last time I went we took a little parking shuttle to get to the park, but now all that parking lot is full of Disney CA Adventure. Still haven't been there, but I don't know that I ever will.
They have a "new" (since the last time I went) area where little girls can stand in line to take pictures and visit with Disney Princesses. That was what Sarah was looking forward to the most. I didn't realize however that the line would be two hours long! Luckily we saw Jasmine while walking in the park. Scott grabbed Sarah in his arms and ran after them. They were kind enough to stop and let us take a picture with them. (They had to run after that before they were mobbed!)

We tried to all fit in a rocket, but I ended up going by myself!
Jacob's favorite ride was the "new" Buzz Lightyear ride. He got to shoot at things and he got more points than Grandma!
We had a lot of fun on the teacups. Scott had fun taking pictures!
The Mad Hatter's Shop is always fun.
Everyone but my mom. We should have gotten someone else to take the pic for us!
The old hat switcheroo.
My family and the balloon.
All tuckered out!

The Gibbons Clan Get Together

It was so much fun to spend time with the Gibbons side as well during our trip. While driving to CA we got a call from Scott's brother, Tom, telling us that he was being called as a bishop the next day. It so happened that we were going to be able to be there for that! It is so amazing how the Lord blesses us.
Magi's carmel popcorn is sooo good!
Scott had a lot of fun playing with the twins. Rebecca loved joining in!

Anna didn't seem to mind being ganged up on.
It was so cute to watch Sydnie and Rebecca play together.

She couldn't seem to figure Scott out. I guess he hadn't given her anything to eat yet. I fed her some watermellon and we were best buds right away!
The kids loved being twisted up in the swings.
It wasn't quite as fun for Tom.
That darn Sarah kept turning her head!
Becca and Uncle Aaron.
Sorry it's blurry, my camera had died at this point and I was using my phone.

Fishing

We went to Jess Ranch to go fishing. They really, really stock the ponds there. The kids didn't have any problem at all catching a fish. They wanted to keep catching them, but we had to pay for every fish.

It took me a while to get used to bating the hook. Boy those worms really squirm! :{

They all got "First Fish" certificates.

fun times with Grandma and Papa

"Welllll I had a little chicken..."

They got their nails done!

Scott and I Escape!

Scott and I escaped to San Diego for about two days. It was going to be two night and three days, but we came home early because we ran out of money! It was a good thing that we did, though, because there was a lot of work to do packing up before leaving for Texas the next day.
It was soooo nice to be able to go to the temple and not have a time limit. Usually we have to rush home to make sure the baby sitter is not out too late, but this time we could actually enjoy the Celestial room. The San Diego Temple has the most beautiful Celestial Room. I guess were were a little mooney eyed because we kept getting a lot of people asking if we were newly weds! :)
While we were away...
The kids helped my mom make apple sauce,

My niece, Courtney, had a lot of fun painting Sarah in the bathtub,
They fed the ducks,
And Courtney had her first experience feeding a baby.

Courtney was A LOT of help. I'm so glad she was there to help with the kids.

Going Home!

On our way home from California, our rear tire lost all of it's tread. It was a real blessing that the tire didn't blow out especially since we were passing a truck at the time. As soon as we heard the noise, we looked up and saw an exit for a rest stop. We pulled off, put on the spare and road on to Kingman. We had to take out all the stuff from the back in order to get to the spare, so we figured we might as well set up Becca's bed in the tire shop so we didn't have to hold her the whole time. She didn't hate it nearly as much as the picture lets on. :) We spent about an hour or so in the tire shop and then we were back on the road. Later that night, after Rebecca had finally went to sleep, Elizabeth said she had to go potty. We stopped and she actually didn't have to go, but she did succeed in waking Becca. Becca then proceeded to cry and cry until she threw up all over and we had to stop. All of her clothes were in the bag on top of the van, so she got covered with a towel, but we were able to get her to sleep! We didn't get to our hotel until about 2:30. We were all so tired. Luckily the next day wasn't too bad.

Hmmm... What should I have?

Sarah's New Haircut

I wanted to give Sarah a trim, so I had her sit in front of the TV to keep her occupied while I cut her hair. What I didn't realize was that she was looking up while I started cutting. Her hair turned out A LOT shorted than I had planned. It's all ok, though. She really likes it and it is cute. It is also a lot easier to brush! I liked it better longer, but it will grow.
